You will need a powerful PC. Enhance your NV experience with 50 mods without demanding too much from your PC.Managing Mods:Firstly, make sure to get (FOMM); I’ve had a few issues installing some mods with Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) so it’s better to just stick to FOMM. I also recommend, and as they will help with load orders, conflicts, merged patches and merging plugins to reduce load orders. And are a couple of alternatives also.Issues/Tips:.

Command And Control Army

Apr 30, 2019 - The basic problem is one of 'install order', which arises from multiple. MTUI, 'Project Nevada', 'JIP Companion Command and Control', etc.

ENB + NV 4GB won’t work!??! NV 4GB creates a new folder within the root folder called ‘exes’ that has a shortcut to the F:NV.exe. Just make sure the d3d9.dll file is in that folder once you have run NV 4GB at least once. Be smart about mod install orders, don’t install a patch for a mod before the main file or the like. Certain mods like oHUD, Selective Fire and Project Nevada along with others need to be installed in a correct order, these are usually stated on the mod’s Nexus page. Make sure to always read the description!.

Your game will probably break if you run over 140 separate.esp/.esm files. You will know if this happens if the game is crashing on startup if you have around this many enabled and no specific mod is causing it to crash. OR, almost every texture is glitched/invisible and there are big red floating exclamation points everywhere. This list runs over that amount. But, you can merge plugins.

Don’t always hit ‘yes to all’ or ‘no to all’ when you are installing a mod that is overwriting another’s files (that isn’t explicitly intended to do so). Go through each file (usually there aren’t too many) and select which ones you want to keep, it;s not too difficult to see which files will be better to keep. Archive invalidation! When installing any mod that changes textures/meshes etc always turn this off and turn it on. However, I recommend to keep your Fallout.ini (which the archive invalidation changes) on read-only and only turn it off that when you do archiveinvalidation. I recommend this because certain Fallout.ini settings are required for ENB to work and every time you start up NMM/FOMM it may reset these settings.

My #1 issue for crashing on startup is due to mod ‘requirements’. In the NMM/FOMM load order you can see what ‘masters’ (.esms &.esps) the mod requires. Often such as in patches it may require more than what you have active.

Make sure to have all the ‘masters’ or don’t use it if that happens. Make sure to get all of the utility mods.Links:. The majority of all New Vegas mods are hosted here. Run New Vegas and Fallout 3 together in New Vegas only.

Working

The community page in Steam for New Vegas. Official Bethesda NV forum with modding section. Another place to talk about Fallout Mods.Table of Contents.Special Thanks:/u/JakeRidesAgain for gifting me Elite: Dangerous as a thank you! Check out his!Utility Mods. Make sure to get all of these mods!. Offers at least a 5-10FPS increase even on powerful PCs. Customisable autosave manager that allows autosaves after more ‘events’.

Many mods will take advantage of this and allows you to configure supported mods to your own liking to a much greater degree. Definitely helps to reduce a lot of crashes. Allows tweaking of many variables (mostly graphics and performance). Allows NV to use 4GB of ram so you can run more mods without crashing. A lot of mods will not run properly or at all without this. You will need it.

Is an extra extension of this that adds even more functionality required by some mods. Is another.

Removes stutters from gameplay. Manages UI/HUD extensions so they are always properly installed/removed.

Not a utility mod but everyone should have it (aside from some NVEC/MMUE users). Automatically dumps memory every so often to reduce crashes.Core Gameplay Mods. A complete overhaul mod. Rebalances the game and adds new content as well.

A handheld Pip-Boy 3000 alternative. One of my very favourite mods in F:NV.

The addition of NV (along with darker nights from a weather mod can add a lot more fun to the game especially when sneaking around with a silenced weapon! The thermal can be extremely useful too. Upgrade to ammo system. Adds new rounds and increases visuals of shells/casings. Centers the annoying off center vanilla camera.

Swaps the Pip-Boy light for an actual flashlight that can be customised in MCM. A bit like Project Nevada, it has less new gameplay features but more content like armor and weapons, and also includes some bug fixes and rebalancing, plus more. Also has a patch for compatibility plus WMX/WME/EVE/AWOP convergence and other patches. You can now hold breath with weapons. Allows you to change the fire mode (single/burst/auto) of weapons with a hotkey. Unofficial mod by project director and leader designer of F:NV. Basically a rebalance mod that makes the game a lot harder and more demanding, especially on hardcore mode.

+. Fixes many amount of issues & bugs in the game. Simply adds many more perks and traits to the game. There is a merged version in NVEC. Visible body in first person. What more could you want?.

Like PN and FOOK but more of a pure compilation of many different mods. Another handheld alternative to the 3000. Has some too. Adds a huge amount of features like dynamic crosshair, more implants, sprinting, visor overlays, a whole bunch of useful stuff, equipment (weapons/armor etc) and also can rebalance the game to a great degree. The highest rated F:NV mod for a reason. There are some too for DLCs and other mods.

Does what it says and adds some interesting extra options to PN like adding a perk that will allow you to sprint and shoot with your weapon out along with further bug fixes and other features. Replaces the existing mod menu and is more functional than the vanilla one. Allows you to remove mods and even tells you which mods the gun has.HUD Mods. A HUD retexture for DarN UI.

Changes the size of the HUD/UI text so more stuff can fit on screen. Similar to some elements from oHUD, adds extra things to the HUD. Changes the HUD to one that looks Fallout 4’s. Changes some HUD elements to as they were in Fallout: Tactics. A simple retexture for the HUD. oHUD makes the game much more immersive by hiding the HUD such as when not in combat.

It also allows you to adjust the hud to your liking and you can even add extra HUD elements. Similar to DarN UI. Adds a radar type map to the HUD to extra NPCs/creatures in all directions. A thin HUD. Unifies many HUD mods and also mods that add things to the HUD.Visual Enhancements.

Graphics enhancer that isn’t ENB. It’s much less taxing but doesn’t look as good as ENB. ENB: A graphical enhancer that changes things such as shaders/AF/AA etc. There are many available on the nexus so choose one to suit your tastes. Beware of incompatibilities with certain lighting/weather mods though.

This is needed to run NV/Thermal with ENBs that don’t have IMOD features built in. Makes energy weapons more impressive. Retextures most energy weapons also and has some other changes like blood spray, fire and explosions. One of the best mods. A realistic looking lighting overhaul with great weather effects. Changes character faces from pretty awful looking in vanilla, to very high quality and quite realistic looking.

Even changes ghouls! Also works with it. Removes the orange tint and alters the lighting system. Beware, the nights are VERY dark. From the maker of EVE.

High quality new vfx and decals for ballistic weapons. A total overhaul for interior lighting. A must have. The ‘lasers’ from laser weapons have a bolt’ like effect, almost akin to Star Wars & Terminator. Adds some ‘writing’ to some bathrooms in the Mojave like IRL. Replaces the vanilla crosshairs with much more functional ones.

Works perfectly with Project Nevada as it doesn’t replace the dynamic crosshair from that. Adds icons for misc items in the Pip-Boy. Adds a huge amount of weather effects to the game. Basically a ‘character visual lore fix’ with improved faces. Requires FCO.

Similar to Nevada Skies but gives more of a post apocalyptic feel. Adds billboards to the wall around the strip. Sort of a cross between RWL and Nevada Skies. Vault 22 now looks much more impressive and overgrown. Overhauls the trees and plants to look a lot better than vanilla.

Cannot recommend enough. I personally go with the dead version as it seems the most realistic to me. Adds many posters and pinups throughout NV.Retextures. Very good retextures of some armors and many creatures. Makes blood simply look better. A big high quality retexture pack. Equipment retextures.

Install first and overwrite. Has 3 textures for all 3 variants of ED-E. Has a cool glow option too. Retex of one hand melee weapons. Retextures (most?/all?) heavy weapons.

Amazing quality. Optional file in the downloads section. Best scope replacer I’ve found in F:NV. Retextures a lot of smaller clutter items. Replaces the stars and moon to look more detailed and realistic.

Quite amazing. Retextures the ground to give a sandy look across the Mojave. Retextures a huge amount of in game objects to look much, much better than vanilla. I recommend the version with washed out rocks which makes them look less red. If you can run the vanilla game on max easily then I recommend the large version, otherwise med/small.

I think it looks the best out of EWI & OJO but you can use all 3 together and simply install NMC last to overwrite. / Bueno Retextures. Another huge set of retextures. POCO is a lower quality version of OJO. Super high quality retexture with all new animations and effects.

Super high quality ground replacer. Simply retextures all of the vault suits including armored versions. Retex of all the vanilla clothing and some armor to look much better. Retextures most of the weapons of the games to a very high quality. Make sure to get the if you have GRA. FOOK contains WRP so you don’t need to use this if you get that.Quest Mods. Adds a new quest line within the Mojave Wasteland.

Quest mod that is set in ‘Area 51’. DLC sized quest mod with many new quests.

Quest mod with three new world spaces. Go to the moon?!. Adds a cut speech check that allows Mr.

House to ignore the BoS. Search vertibird crash sites for hidden secrets. Time travelling quest that spans over 200 years. Adds interiors and a new worldspace.

A great quest mod, still W.I.P. But highly recommended. Takes place 20 years after NV and totally overhauls the entire game. Does what it says, way more enemies to fight for both sides.

&. Very high quality bounty hunting quest mods. You will need. Restores an unmarked quest with Rotface in Freeside.

Restores cut content that allows you to release the animals. Huge overhaul mod. Turns NV into a survival simulator with expanded gameplay. An actual separate game within NV.

Set in California and pro-quality voice acting. Can almost be considered a new Fallout game and compatible with most other mods. Still a W.I.P. But highly recommended. Allows NPCs to enter the Lucky 38 and you can run it. Earn caps from doing so.

Almost like a new Fallout game, set in Portland.
